New Delhi, Oct 11 : Three 3 CJP top guns were released at the intervention of the court on Sunday. But Jantar Mantar still remains heavily guarded to prevent any anti-CEC protest from place.
Metro services have resumed from Sunday morning and the Delhi Police have partially removed the barricades after the Supreme Court’s directives in the afternoon. But protest and crackdown hae refused to die down.
A number of AISA workers have been detained in CP as they resumed street protest demanding immediate resignation of Gyanesh Kumar as Chief Election Commissioner.
The security forces have not yet left the place after CJP founder Abhijit Dipke promised to continue the protest after he along with two aides were released in the morning.
Before leaving back to his hometown in Maharashtra, Dipke said that Saurav, Ashotosh and Azinkya would take the lead. He further insisted that they won’t not back down until and unless Gyanesh Kumar quits.
CJP leader Ajinkya Shinde and AISA leader Neha Bora also have categorically resumed protest and tried to reach Jantar Mantar again by the afternoon. She said if Jantar Mantar remains to be heavily guarded, they would be forced to stage protest in another place in the capital.
On the other hand, INDIA bloc has announced a separate protest for Monday, with top opposition leaders set to march to the Supreme Court and urge it to expedite cases related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and the Election Commission.
