New Delhi, Oct 10 : The Delhi Police have detained CJP founder Abhijit Dipke along with two of his aide Ashotosh Ranka and Saurabh Das as part of the attempt to prevent the Jantar Mantar 2.0 demanding immediate resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar alleging that he presided over lots of anomalies in the country’s electoral system.
Dipke along with his 2 of his aides were detained by the Delhi Police from inside the flight immediately after it landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in the morning. But Abhijit named Ajinkya Shinde to lead the massive protest at Jantar Mantar.
Similarly, TMC chief and former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was also arrested on the way to the Jantar Mantar where she was scheduled to join the protest a day after she was part of the INDIA Bloc delegation to have met President Draupadi Murmu demanding Gyanesh Kumar’s dismissal.
On the other hand, another group of Delhi Police have detained All India Students Association chief Neha Bora in the morning and took her to a detention camp in the capital. Before that popular YouTuber Dhruv Rathi was picked up from his residence in Gurgaon before leaving for New Delhi to join the protest
