Shillong(Meghalaya), April 15: Eastern West Khasi Hills District Cricket Association (EWKHDCA) made a stunning start to the MCA U-16 Boys Inter-District Tournament 2025, thrashing West Jaintia Hills District Cricket Association (WJHDCA) by nine wickets in the opening Zone 1 match at Mukhla Mission.
WJHDCA won the toss and elected to bat first but were bowled out for a record low 30 runs in just 16 overs. Not a single batsman from WJHDCA could reach double figures. The bowlers from EWKHDCA were ruthless, with Dabetbhalang Kharjana (3/2 in 3 overs) and Keeperwellson Sun (3/12 in 6 overs) taking six wickets between them.
EWKHDCA chased down the target with ease, losing just one wicket in 11.2 overs. Dabetbhalang Kharjana played a crucial role, hitting a six to seal the win for his team. The victory marked an impressive debut for EWKHDCA in the tournament.
