New Delhi, Oct 12: Amid simmering protest at Jantar Mantar here demanding immediate resignation of Gyanesh Kumar as Chief Election Commissioner, the Delhi Police on Monday have de-notified as the “designated” place for protest.
Further, the police have notified three other sites as “designated” place to stage protest.
According to Order No. L& O/48/2026, on the basis of a committee 3 new locations in Delhi — Ramlila Ground, Burari Ground and East Delhi’s CBD Ground — have been designated for protests.
The announcement comes as the Congress-led INDIA bloc planned to march towards the Supreme Court to protest against the Election Commission and demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the SIR exercise.
