New Delhi, Oct 13: Amid growing protest against NDA Government at the Centre over CEC Gyanesh Kumar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday came down heavily on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi saying that the Congress downfall started as soon as he came to the party’s helm of affairs.
Talking to reporters, Shah said “A territory which the Congress had always ruled, you have not been able to win any election in the past 41 years. This is a big issue that requires the party to do self-introspection.”
“Congress has not won any seats in these elections. Rather, the BJP has snatched the seat from Congress in Nagaon,” said Shah while training gun at the Congress top leader.
He said: “These elections were held using ballot papers. So, the allegations that EVMs help the BJP to win elections are hence proved wrong.”
Amit Shah said, “I want to tell Rahul Gandhi that his strategy to protect infiltrators through the SIR has been very well understood by the people, and they will now not fall into your trap.”
