Dear friends I am grieved to share the devastating news that my youngest brother Neil is no more. He died today in Mumbai due to sepsis caused by a perforated ulcer.
Neil lived a full life. An immensely gifted boy he had a wicked sense of humour and filled the house with music and activities for all. He had a deep love for God and a deep love for people, particularly the down and out.
He directed the Shillong Chamber Choir which shot to fame in 2010 in the India’s Got Talent Reality Show.
He was not a perfect man, but he was a musical genius .
He almost single handedly brought the North East Closer to the rest of the country through his impeccable arrangements of Bollywood songs in a blend of East and West. For his achievements he was awarded a Padma Shri .
My parents are deeply shocked as are the rest of the family. Here is a picture of them recently. Dad is 92 Mum is 82.
We have the faith that we will meet again in Jesus someday soon. Death is not the end.
