Shillong (Meghalaya), Mar 15 : In a series of successful operations, the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya has apprehended seven Bangladeshi nationals and two Indian nationals along the Indo-Bangladesh border.
The arrests were made in the bordering areas of East Khasi Hills, East Jaintia Hills, and South Garo Hills districts.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the BSF conducted a special operation in East Jaintia Hills, apprehending four Bangladeshi nationals. In another operation, three Bangladeshi nationals were caught in South Garo Hills. The two Indian nationals were also apprehended for their alleged involvement in facilitating illegal border crossings.
The BSF’s swift action demonstrates its commitment to securing the Indo-Bangladesh border and preventing illegal activities. Similar operations have been conducted in the past, with the BSF apprehending several Bangladeshi nationals and Indian facilitators.
