Shillong(Meghalaya), June 23 : 482 new Covid cases were reported on Wednesday with East Khasi leading with over 150 new positive cases .
The state also recorded 9 more deaths , 3 of which were from East Khasi Hills , 4 from Ri Bhoi and 1 each from South West Khasi Hills and West Jaintia Hills . The death toll so far is 797 .

The number of cases on Wednesday stood at 482, With East Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi recording 157 and 87 cases, respectively .
According to an official statement, the day’s recoveries were at 434 . With this , the active cases in the state now stand at 4,312 .
