Imphal(Manipur), June 23 : A well known Political Activist of Manipur, Sheikh Noorul Hassan on Tuesday joined the National People’s party (NPP) looking forward to what he termed as a party that is ready to stand with indegineous people, ethnic communities,minority communities and the voiceless.
“It’s my pleasure to be a part of NPP which is the fastest growing political party because of its futuristic vision and ideology,” Sheikh Noorul Hassan said.
He has been active for quite some time on the issue of indegineous people, ethnic communities,minority communities and the voiceless.
After a special meeting with Conrad K. Sangma, National President NPP, Sheikh Noorul Hassan had joined the party officially.
N.Kayisii, President, National People’s Party Manipur issued an order stating that Sheikh Noorul Hassan is appointed as the general secretary (organisation) of National people’s party Manipur state yesterday.
Moments after joining the party, Sheikh Noorul Hassan said he is grateful for being appointed as General secretary (Organization) of NPP Manipur State.
He will work towards development of the indigenous people of North East India and also for the minority communities, he added.
He also assured that he will work to strengthen the party’s position and will contest the 2022 election from maximum seats.
It may be mentioned that Sheikh Noorul Hassan is an intending candidate for the 2022 Manipur Legislative Assembly elections. He is one of the most popular and influential social workers in the state.
