Shillong (Meghalaya), April 29: 2 more Covid 19 deaths were recorded in Shillong while a total of 187 new cases were detected in the state today .
According to official sources , Riangkhwat Khonglah (58 years ), from Huroi village in East Jaintia Hills, was admitted to Nazareth Hospital this morning and passed away after sometime . The cause of death was due Covid-19 pneumonia with hypertension.
Joplin Dkhar (64 years ), from Nongkseh area here was admitted to NEIGRIHMS on Wednesday and passed away this morning. The cause of death was severe Covid pneumonia with Type 1 respiratory failure.
Among the 187 new cases detected in the state today , 141 were East Khasi Hills , 18 from Ri -Bhoi , 10 from West Garo Hills , 6 from East Jaintia Hills, 4 from West Jaintia Hills , 4 from West Khasi Hills , 2 from South Garo Hills , 1 each from South West Khasi Hills and and East Garo Hills .
A total of 129 patients were declared recovered today .
