Shillong (Meghalaya), Dec 6 : 2 more Covid patients succumbed to their infections taking the death toll to 120 in the state .
According to sources , Harekrishna Debnath aged 67 years from Nagaon in Assam, tested Covid positve and was admitted to NEIGRIHMS on Nov 30 and passed away on Friday The cause of his death was due to cardiac arrhythmia with Covid pneumonia, acute kidney injury, Type 2 diabetes and hypertension.
Amiya Ch Momin aged 65 years from Rajabala in West Garo Hills was admitted to Civil Hospital , Tura on Nov 30 and passed away on Saturday . The cause of his death was right upper lobe pneumonic consolidation with acute antero lateral wall ischaemia, Covid and and type 2 diabetes and hypertension.
On Sunday a total of 73 new cases were detected in the state taking the state tally to 12,237 . Among the new cases 58 were reported from East Khasi Hills , 8 from Ri – Bhoi , 4 from West Garo Hills , 2 from West Jaintia Hills and 1 from North Garo Hills .
A total of 61 patients were declared recovered today .
