Shillong (Meghalaya ), Dec 7 : As part of the ongoing Series of SSR 2021 voter registration process various activities, special campaigns have are being held in various polling stations across the 11 Districts & 4 subdivisions, covering all 60 assembly constituencies of the state , in both rural and urban polling station locations .
The various activities include , voter education in market areas ,voter enrolment process while maintaining social distance and extant Health protocols at all times, as part of Safe elections and enrolment .
CEO FR Kharkongor said that this time around , besides on site enrolment , services of 600 CSCs have also been roped in to offer online enrolment to prospective electors in the rural areas , with the tagline “ why stand in line when you can do it online” , health aspect has also been prioritized as BLOs and new electors are maintaining adequate health and safety protocols , as new electors are being encouraged to “ maintain social distance , but not to distance themselves from enrolling to vote “
The Special Summary Revision which commenced on Nov 16 will go on till Dec 15 leading up to the Final Publication in Jan 2021 .
