Kokrajhar (Assam) ,Dec 4: BPF president Hagrama Mohilary expressed his confidence of winning majority of seats in the 40 – member house of the BTC Legislative Assembly in elections to be held on Dec 7 and Dec 10.
On Friday, BPF chief Hagrama Mohilary addressed an election rally at Daloabari tea estate for Banargaon constituency party candidate Rajib Brahma.
“Even though minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma invested thousand of crores rupees in the council elections, yet BJP’s strategies would not be successful”, Mohilary said.
He has alleged that BJP has been distributing money to attract the common masses and win their hearts .
Mohilary slammed the saffron party for its political strategy to attract the common masses by indulging in character assainations.
” BJP’s political tactics wont work “, he said adding that BJP-UPPL has been trying to attract the common masses for winning the council elections.
BPF candidate for Banargaon constituency Rajib Brahma also claimed that his victory from the constituency in the council elections is certain .
Brahma said that people from all sections of the society are coming forward to vote in favour of BPF in the council elections.
BPF party is contesting in 37 constituencies of the 40 member house of the Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly.
Meanwhile, UPPL candidate for Banargaon constituency Rabiram Brahma today formally declared the election sub committee at Tulideepa near Kokrajhar tea estate.
Brahma said that UPPL is getting massive support cutting across all communities in the constituency.
He said that BPF is now facing severe crisis as common masses want parivartan and development in the region.
