Kokrajhar(Assam), Nov 23: Political parties and party leaders cutting across party lines in BTR have condoled the demise of Former Chief Minister , Tarun Gogoi in Bodoland Territorial Council region including BPF president Hagrama Mohilary,Assam Social welfare minister Pramila Rani Brahma,UPPL President Pramod Boro,ex Rajya Sabha MP Urkhao Gwra Brahma and ABSU president Dipen Boro .
Mohilary while extending his condolences ,said that Gogoi was one of the prominent political leaders of the state and the state has lost a good statesman .
Assam Social welfare minister and senior BPF leader Brahma also extended her deep condolences over the demise of ex chief minister Tarun Gogoi.
She recalled Gogoi’s contribution towards the political arena in the state as well as to the society . She prayed for his eternal bliss and extended her deep condolences to the bereaved family members.
She informed that she is going to the residence of Late Gogoi early in the morning tomorrow to offer her homage to Late Tarun Gogoi.
UPPL president and former ABSU president Pramod Boro also expressed his deep condolences over the demise of former chief minister Tarun Gogoi.
He said that Gogoi was a prominent leader of the state who held the position of the chief minister thrice in the state from 2001-2016. He also prayed for his eternal bliss.
Former Rajya Sabha MP and senior UPPL leader Urkhao Gwra Brahma has also condoled the death of ex chief minister Tarun Gogoi.
He recalled his contributions during the signing of the BTC Accord in 2003 which was well received in the Bodoland region.
“The news of passing away of Tarun Gogoi, ex CM of Assam has saddened me deeply. Its a big loss for Assam. His role during signing of the BTC Accord happened 2003 will always be remembered by the people of Bodoland . He will always be remembered as an ever uncompromising politician of Assam and the country . My deepest condolence to bereaved family members “, Brahma added.
ABSU president Dipen Boro said that the news of his demise has saddened the people of the state .He added that the state has lost a great leader.
