Guwahati (Assam) , A total of 1560 Covid cases were detected in the state today taking the total number of cases in the state to 89,468 .
Health Minister H. B Sarma in a tweet said that among the new cases today Kamrup(M) recorded 351 cases , Jorhat 137 and Kamrup (R) 104 and the positivity rate is 6,77 %.
The minister also stated that 7 more Covid patients succumbed to their infections today at various hospitals in the state taking the death toll to 234 .
The 7 Covid patients have been identified as Rajesh Dutta (46) of Jorhat; Cheni Devi Jain (77) & Khetradhar Gogoi (60) of Dibrugarh; Bholenath Dusad (63) of Cachar; Jatin Ch Das (55) of Kamrup R; Nur Islam Mirdha (60) of Sonitpur and Sudhir Kr Das (77) of Kamrup M.
A total of 2045 patients were discharged today after recovery .
