Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 23 : 106 new Covid cases were detected in the state today while 1 Covid patient succumbed to his infections in West Garo Hills .
With this the total no of cases in the state stand at 1917 out of which 1133 are active cases .
Among the new cases 64 were reported from East Khasi Hills which includes 26 cases from the Armed Forces , 38 General public .
East Jaintia Hills reported 3 cases , Ri -Bhoi District reported 3 , West Khasi Hills 16 , North Garo Hills 1 , West Garo Hills 9 which includes 3 from Armed Forces and 6 General public . South Garo Hills reported 10 cases all from the Armed Forces .
In East Khasi Hills district, 64 new cases were reported including 26 from Armed force/Para military and 38 civilians, East Jaintia Hills 03, Ri Bhoi district 03, West Khasi Hills district 16, North Garo Hills 01, West Garo Hills 09 which include 03 Armed force/Para military and 06 civilians and in South Garo hills district 10 all from Armed force/Para military.
7 patients were discharged today after recovery .
