Shillong(Meghalaya), May 12 : Chief Secretary Dr. Shakeel P. Ahammed on Monday completed the Self-Enumeration process for the House-Listing Operations of Census 2027 through the dedicated Self-Enumeration portal.
The Self-Enumeration process for Census 2027 in Meghalaya began on May 1, 2026, as part of digital initiatives aimed at ensuring efficient and citizen-friendly data collection.
Present during the process were Commissioner & Secretary and State Nodal Officer for Census 2027 Dr. Pooja Pandey, and Secretary and Additional State Nodal Officer Swapnil Tembe.
Officials from the Directorate of Census Operations, Meghalaya, including Joint Director Subhasish Chatterjee and Deputy Director Aibor Sanglyne, were also present.
The Self-Enumeration was completed smoothly using the digital portal, reflecting the government’s push to leverage technology for accurate and streamlined census operations.
