Shillong (Meghalaya), Jan 28 : In a nail-biting match, Laitkor SC edged past Sawmer SC with a 2-1 win at the SSA Stadium in Polo, here , today. Samborwell Mynsong stole the show, scoring twice within 20 minutes, while Shanmeiaki Warlarpih pulled one back for Sawmer in the first half.
This victory marks Laitkor’s second consecutive win in the second leg, following their impressive 4-0 triumph over Nongthymmai SC just five days ago. With 16 points from five wins, one draw, and five defeats, Laitkor now occupies the fourth spot in the standings.
On the other hand, Sawmer’s struggles continue, with this being their fifth consecutive defeat. They currently sit in seventh place with 11 points from three wins, two draws, and six losses.
