Shillong (Meghalaya), May 23: The State Level Inter School Athletic Meet 2025, held at the Sports Authority of India (SAI), NEHU, here, from May 19th to 22nd concluded with East Khasi Hills District emerging as the Overall Champions and Best Team. The event, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs in collaboration with the Meghalaya Athletics Association, saw over 780 athletes from 12 districts competing in 48 track and field events.
The ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including Rakkam Sangma, Education Minister, and D. D Shira, Director, Sports and Youth Affairs. With great enthusiasm and sportsmanship, the event showcased the state’s commitment to promoting athletic talent.
East Khasi Hills’ dominance in the meet marked a notable achievement, highlighting the district’s strong athletic prowess. The event concluded on a high note, with participants and officials alike celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship and competition.
