Shillong(Meghalaya), May 11 : All five Shillong-based clubs advanced to the Round of 8 in the 5th Meghalaya State League on Sunday, with reigning champions Mawlai SC thrashing Thangskai Tiger SC 11-0 in Amlarem. Robertson Khongriah hit a first-half treble while Wadshwa Latoo and Jestibor Mawlong added braces.
Shillong Lajong FC beat Mishon SSCC 5-0 in Wahiajer, powered by substitute Fridison Wanniang’s hat-trick. Nongkseh SSCC defeated Mawphu SC 4-0 at SSA Stadium with Hardy Cliff Nongbri scoring twice.
Nangkiew Irat SC edged Khimusniang SC 2-1 in a heated tie at SSA Stadium. Rangdajied United needed extra time to overcome Janepih YSCA 3-1 in Williamnagar.
Maram FC, the last Garo Hills side, beat Seng Samla Umdang Pyllun 1-0 in Mawkyrwat, while Rymbai Shkenshynriah defeated Amlarem SC 2-0 in Khliehriat with a Hesmiki Rymbai brace.
The Langsning FC versus Lumphyrnai Sohphoh FC match in Mairang was postponed due to rain.
