Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 23: Langsning SC thrashed Rangdajied United FC 4-0 in a dominant display in the Shillong Premier League 2025 at the SSA Stadium here. Nelson Rymbai’s stunning long-range screamer in the 6th minute set the tone for the match, followed by Damonlang Pathaw’s clinical headers in the 27th and 44th minutes. Dajiedlang Wanshnong sealed the win with a goal in the 64th minute, propelling Langsning up to third place in the standings.
The victory marked a stark contrast to the teams’ opening matches, where neither side managed to win. Langsning had drawn 1-1 with Mylliem, while Rangdajied had drawn 0-0 with Shillong Lajong. Rangdajied’s struggles to score continued, with the team failing to find the back of the net in 180 minutes this season. Despite creating some chances, Rangdajied’s goalkeeper Meshan Banjop Sumer couldn’t stem the tide, and Langsning’s captain Atlanson Kharmaw made a crucial clearance off the line to deny Rangdajied a lifeline.
The win showcased Langsning’s attacking prowess, leaving Rangdajied to ponder their scoring woes.
