Shillong, Sep 28: Nongkseh thumped Sawmer 3-0 in the Shillong Premier League 2026 at SSA Stadium today to make it three wins in a row.
Kitboklang Pale (30′), Mebankhraw Wahlang (37′) and captain Hardy Cliff Nongbri (88′) scored as Nongkseh rose to third with 13 points from 7 games, overtaking Mawlai (12 from 6). Sawmer stay sixth on 9.
Sawmer defended deep for 30 minutes before Kitboklang chested a long ball, beat Khrawkupar Tamu and smashed a left footer. Minutes later, Hardy’s corner was headed in at the far post by Mebankhraw.
Sawmer keeper Pyrshangbanbha Dkhar, guilty of howlers earlier this season, made two good saves before the break to prevent a rout.
Nongkseh missed chances after the restart through Chesterpaul Lyngdoh and Shano Tariang, before Kitboklang’s cutback set up Hardy to seal it.
Sawmer’s best came in the 70th minute when Wanshanlang Dkhar’s long free kick hit the bar.
