Shillong (Meghalaya), Oct 9: In a significant achievement, the Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) East Khasi Hills, Shillong, in collaboration with Mawlai Police Station, intercepted a Tata Sumo vehicle traveling from Guwahati to Shillong today.
The vehicle was stopped at Banalari Showroom, Mawlai, resulting in the apprehension of two individuals lAbdul Mukit, 43, from Siverchak, Kamramganj, Assam and Sawrupananda Mohanta, 38, from Mohanpur, P.t-II, Cachar, Assam
A thorough search of the vehicle led to the seizure of suspected heroin in 5 soap boxes containing 57.51 grams.four nos of mobile phones and 2 ATM cards and 1 Driving Licence
A case has been registered at Mawlai Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
