Shillong(Meghalaya), July 21: Meghalaya recorded two deaths due to COVID-19 while the state recorded 61 new cases today.
The state now has 397 active cases ,according to a press statement by Department of Health and Family Welfare. Overall 15967 persons have so far have died due to COVID19 in the state.
Both Covid-related deaths were recorded in West Khasi Hills , the statement said .
The state reported 12 new cases in East Khasi Hills, 2 in East Garo Hills, 1 in East Jaiñtia Hills, 5 in Ri-Bhoi, 3 in South Garo Hills, 36 in West Garo Hills and 2 in West Khasi Hills.
The state has so far reported 94,572 Covid-19 cases, out of which 92,578 have recovered and 1,597 have died while 45 Covid patients are being treated at various hospitals .
