Shillong (Meghalaya), Feb 15: Six NCC cadets who represented Meghalaya at the Republic Day Parade 2022 at Rajpath, New Delhi were today felicitated by the Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik in a function held at Raj Bhavan, here .
The Governor gave away Certificates of Appreciation and cash prizes to the cadets.
Speaking on the occasion, Satya Pal Malik congratulated the cadets and spoke of the importance of Republic Day Camp and the NCC in nation building. He also complemented the parents and teachers of the cadets present .
A total of five boys and one girl from Shillong Gp represented the North East Region Directorate at New Delhi. Cadet Mary Milling studying in St Mary’s College, was the first cadet from Arunachal Pradesh to take part in the Republic Day Camp. She was also awarded the Director General NCC Commendation Card for her excellent performance.
The ADG NCC NER Maj. General Kalita, and Gp Cdr Shillong Group Brig Jai Singh Yadav, were also present at the event.
