Shillong ( Meghalaya), May 29 : The Covid -19 situation in the state seems to be slowly improving with 890 recoveries reported on Saturday in comparison to 613 fresh cases.
Out of the new cases 320 were reported from East Khasi Hills .

However , 7 more Covid -19 deaths were reported with 5 from East Khasi Hills and 1 each from Ri Bhoi and South West Garo Hills .
The active cases now stand at 7741 after a total of 26,156 patients recovered from the virus .
The death toll as of now stands at 551 .
