Guwahati ( Assam), May 28 : 80 more Covid -19 patients succumbed to their infections in the state in the past 24 hours .
A total of 5436 new cases were also detected in the past 24 hours out which Kamrup ( Metro) reported 595 cases .

These cases were detected after conducting 1222977 tests .
The overall positivity percentage for the day was 4. 42 % and the positivity rate was 85.47 %
