Kokrajhar ( Assam),Mar 31: A massive preparation is underway at Green Field Bodofa Nwgwr here for PM Narendra Modi’s election rally for the UPPL party candidates under the NDA alliance on Thursday .
PM Modi is likely to address a grand election rally here where over 2 lakh people are expected to participate in support of UPPL candidates under the NDA alliance.
Party leaders from UPPL, BJP, GSP are presently camping at the Green Field to monitor the construction of the temporary structure .
PM Modi is expected to reach in the morning by helicopter at Green Field Bodofa Nwgwr in near BTC Secretariat.
Earlier on Tuesday, Assam DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta took stock of the security arrangements for the PM Modi’s election rally.
A tight security network has already been deployed along the Green Field Bodofa Nwgwr and it’s adjoining areas.
BTC executive member and BJP leader Arup Kumar Dey said that over 2 lakh people are expected to attend the grand election campaign at Green Field.
He was confident that BJP led NDA alliance candidates would be emerging victorious in all 12 constituencies across the four districts of the Bodoland Territorial Region as people cutting across communities are coming forward to extend support to the UPPL and BJP in the assembly elections.
He said people want parivartan and development and accordingly extending their support wholeheartedly to the BJP & UPPL .
Meanwhile, UPPL candidate for Kokrajhar East constituency Lawrence Islary campaigned in support of his candidature addressed meetings at several places including Bhaoragwja,Alangi,Patgaon and Mistabari.
” Though it has been raining in some parts East Kokrajhar in the past 24 hours, yet it did not hamper the public from attending the meetings.The peoples’ trust in UPPL Government is growing by leaps and bounds day by day”, Islary said adding that he is winning from the Kokrajhar East constituency defeating BPF candidate Ms. Pramila Rani Brahma.
Sarmela Islary, wife of UPPL candidate Lawrence Islary also addressed election meetings at Shukanjhora,Daloabari Part II, Simbargaon in support of her husband.
She appealed to all sections of the communities to vote in favor of UPPL candidate in the ensuing assembly elections.
She assured that UPPL would ensure social upliftment and development among the society if voted to the power in the state.
On the other hand, BPF party candidate and Assam Social welfare minister Pramila Rani Brahma inaugurated election sub-committee office at Bhalukjhora and addressed the election meetings.
She said that BPF was working for the welfare and development of the common masses since it’s inception in the region.
She said that her BPF is contesting in 12 constituencies across the four districts and getting massive and would win all the seats .
