Shillong (Meghalaya), Nov 29 : As part of the ongoing Series of Special Summary Revision 2021 activities, special campaigns are being held at various polling stations across Districts of Meghalaya .
TE activities include BLO doubt clearing sessions , market awareness, enrolment process while maintaining social distance and extant Health protocols at all times, as part of Safe elections and enrolment .
The Chief Electoral Officer, Meghalaya , F. R Kharkongor stated that this time around , besides on site enrolment , services of 600 CSCs have also been roped in to offer online enrolment to prospective electors in the rural areas , with the tagline “ why stand in line when you can do it online” , health aspect has also been prioritized as BLOs and new electors are maintaining adequate health and safety protocols , as new electors are being encouraged to “ maintain social distance , but not to distance themselves from enrolling to vote “
The Special Summary Revision which commenced on Nov 16 will continue till to Dec 15 leading up to the Final Publication in Jan 2021 .
