Kokrajhar (Assam ) ,Sept 15 : President of United People’s Party Liberal(UPPL) Pramod Boro has reiterated that his party would be winning majority of the seats in the 40 member house of the BTC Legislative Assembly in the forthcoming BTC general elections.
Boro,who was also former president of All Bodo Students Union(ABSU) said that this time people from all walks of life are coming forward to extend support and promising to vote in favour of UPPL in the council elections .
He has accused BPF president Hagrama Mohilary whose party is contesting in 37 seats in the council of making baseless remarks by claiming to win in all the 40 seats of the council.
“Mohilary is a person who always wants to make baseless claims in his life and now it has become his hobby to make such baseless statements and remarks”. So Hagrama will remain as Hagrama as he does not want to accept the reality “,said Pramod Boro.
Boro alleged that the BPF has failed to work for the welfare and development of the common masses in their past 17 years of rule in BTAD administration and now common masses are blindly supporting the UPPL in the council elections.
He said that that common citizens have been deprived of their due rights and welfare in the region due to the misrule of the BPF.
He promised of good governance and healthy development and welfare initiatives once UPPL voted to the power in the council.
On the BTC election,Boro said that the council elections are not precious than human lives and due to COVID-19 Pandemic across the state he opined that the elections should be conducted only once the situation is normalized.
On Journalist welfare steps,Boro has said that his party has been giving due respect to the media employees in the BTC region and accordingly the party desires to to accord 10 crore of funds under the journalists welfare board to extend support and welfare to the working journalists .He said that UPPL is fully committed to implement the assurance and promises mentioned in the election manifesto .
On Monday,UPPL president Boro has also addressed an election campaign at Taranguri for party Lazu Mushahary of Salakati constituency in Kokrajhar district.
He urged upon all sections of the citizens to vote in favour of UPPL for development and bright future .
