Guwahati(Assam) , Aug 15 : A total of 2706 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Friday taking the total number of cases to 74,501.
Among the new cases 719 were from Kamrup Metro , a264 from Dibrugarh , 258 from Kamrup Rural and 145 from Nagaon .
6 more l Covid patients succumbed to their infections today on Friday taking the death toll to 175 .
The patients have been identified as Rahamot Ali Choudhury (45) of Hailakandi; Abdul Barik (38) of Kamrup (M); Benjamin Terang (56) of Karbi Anglong; Osman Ali (56) & Renuka Bora (81) of Kamrup (R); and Abdul Rahim (72) of Goalpara .
