COVID -19 : Another person from Dhubri in Assam tests positive ; figure rises to 30

Guwahati (Assam), April 13 : A person from Dhubri in Assam has been testedpositive for COVID -19 today taking the tally to 30 .

Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted the news early this morning.

Dhubri resident with Nizamuddin link tested COVID-19 positive; figure rises to 30 in Assam 1Himanta tweeted:
‘Alert ~ Another person from Dhubri, connected with #TablighiJamaat meet at #NizamuddinMarkaz, has been found #COVID19 positive. The total number of #Covid patients in #Assam now stands at 30.’

This person had also attended the religious congregation of Tablighi Jamaat at Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi.

Assam recorded the first death due to COVID -19 , last week.
