Meghalaya : With 18 more Covid -19 deaths on Sunday death toll moves to 228

Shillong ( Meghalaya), May 9 : The state recorded the highest number of single -day Covid -19 fatalities so far on Sunday with 18 more deaths due to Covid -19 complications across the state .

The the death toll in the state has now moved to 228 .

According to Health department , 418 new Covid-19  cases were detected in the state on Sunday taking the number of active cases to 2,899.

179 patients undergoing treatments at various hospitals were declared recovered today .
