Kokrajhar(Assam), Mar 3: “There is no question of breaking any alliance between the BPF,BJP and AGP and the grand alliance is strong , intact based on mutual trust in run – up to the Bodoland Territorial Council(BTC) elections as well in the state”, said BPF supremo Hagrama Mohilary here today.
Mohilary told reporters today here that he held discussions with the state BJP president Ranjit Dass and several party leaders on Monday in Guwahati over the alliance and it was decided that the alliance with unitedly participate in the upcoming council elections .
Mohilary, who is also BTC chief said that BPF has so far declared the names of 18 candidates who would contest in the forthcoming BTC elections.He added that there would be seat sharing in 22 seats amongst the BPF, BJP and AGP .
He expressed confidence that BPF would form the council with the support of BJP and AGP as common masses are coming forward to extend their support to the party.
He said that a 3- member committee has been formed to assess the ground reports over the alliance which includes Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary,Assam minister Rihan Daimary and Assam Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The committee would be submitting it’s report after assessing the ground reports of parties where they have public base or probability of contesting the council elections.
He said that alliance parties in the state would again get Massive support in the 2021 assembly elections as the present state government was working for you upliftment t and development of the common masses.
“We are coming to power again in BTC as people are coming forward to extend their support in the upcoming Council elections”,Mohilary said.
Mohilary who is also BPF chief claimed that his party is getting positive and solid response from the citizens from all walks of life.
Mohilary confirmed that BPF party’s Rajya Sabha candidate Biswajit Daimary is filling his nomination on March 11 next representing the alliance.
BJP president Ranjit Dass,AGP president Atul Bora ,several ministers and leaders would be present when he files his nomination .
He refuted reports of breaking of the alliance and added that they were mere rumours .
He said that the spirit of alliance is continuing in the state and accordingly the state government was working for the welfare and development of all sections of the society .
