Kokrajhar(Assam),Dec 19: The Bodoland People’s Front(BPF) has decided to play a constructive opposition’s role in BTC Legislative Assembly after the formation of the UPPL led alliance government in BTAD administration.
Addressing a press conference held at BPF party office today here , BPF general secretary Prabin Boro said that BPF has decided to play a constructive opposition’s role in BTC Assembly .
He said that his party is fully prepared both mentally and physically to play a strong opposition’s role in the BTC Legislative Assembly for maintaining healthy parliamentary system.
He informed that BPF’s CWC meeting will be organised at Barama on Sunday in Baksa district where the party will work out strategies to build a strong party base .
He has said that the intention of the BPF in challenging the recent formation of the council in the Guwahati High Court was to know if proper procedure was followed in formation of the government in the BTC administration.
“Challenging in the High Court is part of legal procedure to pave way healthy democracy in the council.The High Court will pronounce hearing on December 22 over the petition filed against the UPPL led government”,he said.
He has alleged that in UPPL led government formation no proper procedure was followed and was undemocratic.
Boro clarified that there was no meeting with Assam Health and Education minister Dr .Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati on Friday evening as reported in news media.
He said that the news was false and fabricated to create sensation .
