Guwahati(Assam), May 23 : 72 more Covid -19 patients succumbed to their infections in the state while 3563 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours .
Chief Minister , Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet said that the cases were detected after conducting 62722 tests in the last 24 hours .
Among the new cases ,Kamrup( Metro) reported 624 cases .

The overall positivity percentage was 5.68% and the recovery rate stood at 84.87% .
