Shillong (Meghalaya), May 23 : 22 more Covid – 19 patients succumbed to their infections in the last 24 hours taking the death toll so far 457 .
17 new deaths were reported from East Khasi Hills while 5 deaths were reported from West Jaintia Hills .
An official press statement , said that another 803 fresh cases were detected on Sunday out which 483 cases were from East Khasi Hills .

The active cases in the state now stand at 7682 .
On Sunday, 553 patients were discharged after they fully recovered from the virus .
