Shillong (Meghalaya), June 29: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case has made significant progress, recovering crucial evidence and arresting key suspects. The case has taken a complex turn, with multiple arrests and revelations.
According to sources, the SIT has recovered jewelry belonging to Sonam and the late Raja Raghuvanshi from Shilom James’ flat in Ratlam district, Madhya Pradesh. A laptop, pen drive, and incriminating documents were also seized, which are believed to be crucial to the investigation.
The SIT has arrested several suspects, including Sonam Raghuvanshi, the wife of the deceased, Lokendra Singh Tomar, Raj Singh Kushwaha, Vishal Chauhan, Akash Rajput, and Anand Kurmi. Shilom James, a property broker, was also arrested for allegedly helping Sonam conceal evidence.
The investigation has revealed that Sonam Raghuvanshi allegedly plotted the murder of her husband, Raja, with the help of her lover, Raj Singh Kushwaha. The contract killers, Vishal Chauhan, Akash Rajput, and Anand Kurmi, were allegedly hired to carry out the murder.
The SIT is analyzing the seized evidence, including call records, WhatsApp chats, CCTV footage, and transaction details. The police have also requested narco-tests for some suspects to further investigate the case.
The case has sparked widespread interest and debate, with many calling for justice for Raja Raghuvanshi and his family. The SIT is working to gather more evidence and build a strong case against the suspects.
