Shillong ( Meghalaya), June 5 : 9 more Covid -19 patients succumbed to their infections in the state taking the death toll so far to 652 .
East Khasi Hills reported 7 deaths while West Jaintia Hills and Ri Bhoi reported 1 death each .

Meanwhile , 497 new cases were detected on Saturday out which 207 were from East Khasi Hills and 102 from East Garo Hills .
801 Covid -19 patients undergoing treatment were discharged today after full recovery .
The active cases as of now stand at 5,797 .
