Imphal(Manipur), June 7 : The number of recovery overtook that of new cases on Monday. 598 new cases were reported, while 783 persons were discharged from different hospitals, COVID care centers and home isolation.
The positive cases from general population are from Imphal East (117), Imphal West (202), Thoubal (72), Bishnupur (54), Kakching (26), Ukhrul (1), Churachandpur (83), Chandel (6), Senapati (4), Tamenglong (5), Tengnoupal (7), Kangpokpi (1), Kamjong (5), Jiribam (14), and Noney (1), according to the Health Department.
In the last 24 hours, the State Level Covid 19 Deaths Audit Committee has reported 15 Covid -19 deaths. The total number of deaths as of now is 896.
The total number of positive cases of the state is 55,828 and the cumulative number of recovered cases is 45,948. The number of active cases is 8,984. The recovery rate is 82.30 per cent.
