Shillong (Meghalaya), Jan20: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma reaffirmed the government’s dedication to prioritizing the state’s youth in its decision-making processes. Speaking at the Meghalaya IT Awards ceremony, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of empowering young people to drive the state’s growth and development.
“The government is committed to catering to the needs and aspirations of our young people,” said Chief Minister Sangma. “We believe that our youth are the driving force behind Meghalaya’s progress, and we’re dedicated to providing them with the tools and resources they need to succeed.”
The Meghalaya IT Awards ceremony recognized the achievements of meritorious students from Class X and XII, awarding them laptops to support their academic pursuits. This initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to promote education, skills development, and youth empowerment.
In addition to education, the government is also focused on developing sports infrastructure to nurture young talents and prepare them for national and international competitions, including the Olympics. “We want to provide our young athletes with the opportunities and resources they need to excel in their respective sports,” added Chief Minister Sangma.
