Imphal(Manpur),May 21 :The state reported 656 new COVID19 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases has now reached 6298.The caseload of the state now stands at 42,565 according to the health department.
The positive cases from the general population are from Imphal East (157). Imphal West (288). Thoubal (12). Bishnupur (39), Kakching (45), Ukhrul (11), Churachandpur (71). Chandel (8), Senapati (8). Tamenglong (3). Tengnoupal (1) and Kangpokpi (11). All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.
In the last 24 hours, 15 persons succumbed to their infection , The patients are : aged 40 yrs (female, Imphal East), 76 yrs (male, Imphal West), 58 yrs (male, Kangpokpi), 57 yrs (female, Kangpokpi). 35 yrs (male, Imphal West), 76 yrs (female, Imphal West), 64 yrs (male. Imphal West), 38 yrs (female, Imphal West), 39 yrs (male, Imphal West), 75 yrs (male, Imphal West), 56 yrs (male, Imphal West), 40 yrs ( male, Imphal West), 68 yrs (female, Imphal West), 57 yrs (male, Imphal West) and 58 yrs (male, Imphal East) expired at Raj Medicity (2), CCC Kangpokpi (2), RIMS (5) and JNIMS (6) hospital respectively. The death toll has now reached 661.
According to the Health Department, the total number of recovered case is considered as 1247 after Reconciliation with reports from IDSP Team, Home Isolation Team and Hospitalization Team as on 20th May, 2021.The cumulative number of recovered cases is 35,606. The recovery rate is 83.65%.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1456 D type Oxygen Cylinders and 355 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur.
The first consignment of 250 D type cylinders out of the order of 2000 placed by Govt to manufacture in Gujarat have arrived and received at Silchar. The funding of these 250 cylinders is through the CSR contribution of NHIDCL.
182 Type-D oxygen cylinders at Airforce base, Silchar have been received by the Government today. Out of these 105 are donated by SELCO foundation while remaining procured by Deputy Commissioners Kamjong, Churachandpur and Tamenglong.
As per the latest information,335396 individuals have been vaccinated in the state.
