Shillong, July 23: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Thursday handed over CMSDF sanction letters to schools, sports clubs, religious bodies and local organisations at his residence in Shillong.
The fund will support construction of classrooms, community halls, sanitation facilities, drinking water systems, basketball courts, and procurement of sports and educational equipment. Support for ambulance services and other grassroots infrastructure was also included.
Sangma said CMSDF is meant to address immediate community needs and deliver fast, people-centric development. He urged implementing agencies to complete projects on time.
Beneficiaries including Laitnongrim Upper Primary School, St. Anthony’s HSS, Umpling Presbyterian School, Chibak Agalgittim Club, and Mizo Women Welfare Society thanked the Government for the support.
Elected representatives, community leaders and officials attended the programme.
