New Delhi, July 23 : Tension ran high inside Sansad Bhawan on Thursday as Opposition MPs staged a protest at Makar Dwar over the NEET-UG paper leak.
Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, LoP Rahul Gandhi, and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav joined the demonstration. The Opposition said it will allow debate on the issue only after Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns.
NDA MPs held a counter-protest nearby, accusing the Opposition of disrupting the Monsoon Session that began July 20. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the government is ready for debate but alleged the Opposition is stalling proceedings.
Opposition leaders also slammed PM Modi’s X post on fast-track courts, with Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra saying it ignored students’ core demand.
