Jowai(Meghalaya), May 21: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma inaugurated the newly constructed Hubert Rosario Road in Mookaswan on Wednesday, May 21. The 1.13 km road, built at a cost of Rs. 1.93 crore provides access to the renowned Hubert Acupressure Centre.
The Chief Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to infrastructure development, noting that over Rs. 4,000 crores have been sanctioned for road projects in the last seven years. This is a significant increase compared to the Rs. 659 crores sanctioned between 1991 and 2018.
The road’s inauguration is expected to bring relief to those seeking treatment at the acupressure centre and improve overall connectivity in the region. The Chief Minister’s emphasis on the human impact of development projects underscores the government’s focus on people-centric initiatives.
