Shillong (Meghalaya), March 27: In a vibrant celebration of flavors and culture, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma launched the third edition of Culinary Cascade 2026 at Ward’s Lake. The two-day extravaganza promises a sensory delight, with panel discussions, culinary demos, and musical performances showcasing Meghalaya’s rich gastronomic heritage.
Highlighting the festival’s growth, Sangma announced Mission 1000, a pioneering initiative to combat malnutrition and stunting in Meghalaya. The mission aims to harness local food resources, promote nutrient-rich diets, and engage communities in addressing health challenges.
The festival features a wide range of activities, including masterclasses, food pairings, and interactive sessions with renowned chefs. Local artisans and craftsmen are also showcasing their skills, offering visitors a chance to experience Meghalaya’s vibrant culture.
