710 new Covid cases in the state , 9 more deaths

Shillong ( Meghalaya), July , 27 : The grim Covid situation continues with 710 new cases detected and 9 more deaths reported  in the last 24 hours .

According to official sources , 9 more patients succumbed to their infections in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 1,040.

5 more deaths were recorded in East Khasi Hills while 2 were reported in Ri Bhoi district. West Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills registered 1 death each .

0n Tuesday 710 new cases were detected in the state with East Khasi Hills on the top with 330 cases followed by West Garo Hills with 109 cases .

With the recovery of 453 patients today the active cases now stand at 5,332 .
