Guwahati (Assam) , May 24 : The state recorded 84 more Covid deaths and 6221 new cases in the past 24 hours.
Among the new cases , Kamrup (Metro) which includes Guwahati and its adjoining areas reported 729 new cases .
Chief minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet said the fresh cases were confirmed out of 120668 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.

The positivity percentage stood at 5.16% and recovery rate at 84.86 %.
