Kokrajhar (Assam),Dec 14: Bodoland is all set for the swearing- in ceremony of UPPL-BJP-GSP alliance government of Bodoland Territorial Council(BTC) on Tuesday to be held at Green Field near Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar.
On Monday ,people from all walks of life and UPPL party leaders accorded a warm welcome and felicitations to the designated chief executive member of BTC Pramod Boro in Kokrajhar .
Boro arrived from the state capital here this evening after being named as the CEM of the next UPPL- BJP- GSP alliance government.
Boro thanked all the citizens of the region for supporting the alliance government in BTC.
He said that his government is committed to work for the welfare and development of the region.
He said that the alliance governments main focus would to create a deep integration among various sections of the society.
On Tuesday ,Pramod Boro and other four other executive members would be sworn – in in the executive council. Former president of NDFB-Progressive Gavinda Basumatary will take oath as the deputy CEM while two executive members from BJP and one from GSP would also take oath .
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal,health and education minister and NEDA convener. Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, several ministers, MPs ,MLAs are expected to attend the ceremony .
This evening around 5000 candles were lit at Green field near Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar ahead of the oath taking ceremony. UPPL chief and designated chief executive member of BTC Pramod Boro,Dekiajuli MLA Ashok Singhal participated in the programme .
Boro also has paid floral tributes to Bodofa Late Upendra Nath Brahma.
Meanwhile,BPF , the single largest party has expressed resentment over not getting the opportunity to form the BTC council administration despite being elected as the single largest in the BTC council elections.
Addressing the press conference held at BPF party office here , general secretary of BPF Prabin Boro said that his party should have been invited first to form BTC administration as they emerged as the single largest party in the council elections with 17 seats .
He added that BPF was and will be working for the welfare and development of the common masses.
