Guwahati (Assam ), April 30 : The state on Thursday reported five more coronavirus cases.
With the new cases, the state tally has now gone up to 42 . While four new cases were reported from Bongaigaon district the fifth case was reported from Karimganj
Assam Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted at 9.20 pm “ One person from Karimganj , secondary contact of a Nizamuddin Markaz attendee , has tested positive for Covid 19 . Total Covid -19 patients in Assam now stands at 42 (29 discharged, 1 death. So the active hospital cases stands are 12 ) “.
Two positive cases for Covid-19 were reported from Goalpara and Bongaigaon districts on Tuesday.
Assam has reported 42 Covid-19 cases so far, including five fresh cases from Bongaigaon and Karimganj today .
One Covid-19 positive patient from Hailakandi district died on April 10.
